Payal Rohatgi A Victim Of Casting Couch by Dibakar Banerjee

Dibakar Banerjee seems to be in some deep trouble. Payal Rohatgi whom he claimed to be one of his best friends has come out in the open and said a lot many things against him which can seriously damage his reputation. While Payal was lsated to do a role in Dibakar’s next film having given the audition and even getting selected, things took a steep turn when Payal resented to Dibakar’s ugly intentions when he came over to meet her.

After her auditions for Dibakar’s film Payal came home feeling a little disturbed as she had to portray a strong emotional role. After the auditions she messaged him that she was feeling very low. Dibakar came home. "He'd been over before and we've hung out but he never misbehaved with me. So, I agreed. When he came, he commented that I had put on weight. I was puzzled. He then asked me to lift my shirt and show him my stomach. I got pissed-off. I told him not joke around as I was feeling low. I said to him, 'Let me be, and please leave.' And he left." said Payal in a candid interview to a leading publication. Since then Dibabkar has never called Payal and went on to cast another actress for the role.

Dibakar on the other hand is all defensive completely ruling out any such incident. He in fact says that it was Payal who used to text him flirtatious messages and he was the one who made it clear that he had no such intentions. Dibakar says that he advised her a counselor and also a acting workshop to attend so that she could improve on her acting. Talking about the incident at home Dibakar said “When I reached her place, she asked me up as she would take five minutes. I was barely there for a few minutes and my driver can affirm that. Nothing of any sexual, exploitative or suggestive nature transpired – I'm willing to swear in court to that”.

Difficult to understand whom to believe and whom not to for now. Only time will tell who is lying and who has been trapped.
